Maple Pride
Right before I left for Ireland I finished an order of custom hats for a family going to the Olympics. They were rooting for the Canadian hockey team, but I suppose I can’t hold it against them too much, since the hats came out wicked awesome (yes, I’m from upstate, we say “wicked” and “awesome” and occasionally we say them together). They were nice enough to send me some photos of the hats in play.
My favorite look is the double hat. Seriously, I think that kid may have stumbled on to an epic new look. Maybe I need to give my bomber hat a little makeover.

The best part about the hats was that I posted these pics in a craft community, only to get an immediate response from a girl who lived in Vancouver. She had been walking around with her camera and saw this family in there hats and took a picture of her own, which she then sent to me…which I then sent to the hat wearing family. Small world!
