What I Wore: Ireland
Here’s a collection of outfits from my trip to Ireland. Most important lesson learned? Good, flat, water proof shoes are a must! Even if you’re not climbing around mountains and 3,000 year old forts, many of the roads are cobblestone…and fat chance of making any efficient progress walking down those in stilettos. Various scarfs & hats worked great for giving the same coat a different look.
I wore my waterproof boots (as opposed to my Fame 2 boots) and moccasins the most. Of course I had a pair of flats, a pair of gym shoes and my Fame 2 boots in my suitcase, all of which got minimal ware but added extra pounds. I would have happily swapped all three of those shoes for 1 pair of cute sneakers.
Vintage Etienne Aigner boots; Generic black tights; Coat by Leifsdotter via Anthropologie; Generic orange pashmina from a street corner in NYC; Hat by me
Vintage Etienne Aigner boots; Les Halles jeans; Tank from Target; Zip Up wool hoodie from Glowing Sky; Missoni Sunglasses
Les Halles jeans; Coat by Leifsdotter via Anthropologie; Scarf from Express
Old Boy moccasins; Les Halles jeans; Coat by Leifsdotter via Anthropologie; Scarf from Express; Bomber hat from Mad Bomber
I swear I wore more than just my Les Halles jeans while I was there.

You look so pretty! This is very helpful advice, by the way
Oh I totally forgot you were going over the pond shortly – yeah it’s pretty much always 10C/50F over there, so I definitely recommend some waterproof shoes, a cute umbrella and shoes.
I went over once in July/August and even then I was still wearing jeans, although perhaps with just a T during the day and a light sweater at night.
Eee – it’s exciting to see you wearing moccasins! I have three pairs. I even wear ‘em to work. They are just about the coolest shoes.
Ah! I love moccasins, I have 2 pairs that I wear all the time, but they have gotten fairly beat up – I definitely need a new pair in the near future.
